Will insurance cover my time at Riverbank House?
A shocking disconnect exists between the standard of care recommended by experts and the reimbursements allowed by insurers. No healthcare insurer offers coverage for the necessary duration of care — a minimum of 90 days — that addiction experts and a vast body of research define as effective. We keep the cost of long-term care as affordable as possible, and we will work with you to figure out what components of care at Riverbank do align with your medical insurance coverage.
How much does Riverbank House cost?
The Riverbank House intensive and extended recovery experience are typically offered at a monthly rate. The cost of Riverbank House is comparable to the deductible and co-payments required by many healthcare plans. In other words, the self-pay cost of our 28-day intensive is often equal
to the total out-of-pocket costs incurred when a patient is admitted for in-patient treatment covered by insurance.
Sounds expensive….?
It is not unusual for men with active addiction to cycle in and out of treatment facilities. Because Riverbank House residential recovery services are based on the standards of care and therapeutic methods recommended by experts and supported by science, our model is effective. Our sole mission is to help you achieve and maintain sustained recovery, ending the chronic relapse-to-rehab cycle once and for all.
Does expensive treatment mean better treatment?
Surprisingly, a few families have decided against Riverbank House specifically because they thought our fees were too low. It is a sad myth that expensive rehab equals effective rehab. Research-based programming, long-term residential care, a many-pathways-to-recovery approach, and the bonds of true brotherhood add up to both effective recovery and a future lived with dignity and purpose.
And Riverbank House offers a generous grant program for families in need.
