Tyssen Butler
Program Manager, Recovery Coach,
Intake and Outreach Coordinator
Tyssen was born in New Hampshire but didn’t live here until 2010. He has travelled and lived all over the world. His passion was racing motorcycles and after a number of serious accidents he turned to alcohol and painkillers to self medicate. He bounced in and out of rehabs until he landed at Riverbank House where he finally figured out the party was over. With the help of a few men who stuck by his side and never gave up, Tyssen found what he was looking for (a sober life, helping others). Meditation and Buddhist teachings along with his desire to work out and eat healthy, has completed the mind, body, spirit element of the Disease Model. Tyssen is a Recovery Coach, the intake and outreach coordinator, and manages everyday life at Riverbank. Tyssen completed his schooling to become a addiction counselor.
